HOW I WORK
I firmly believe that conventional medicine and therapies such as acupuncture should be used side by side and that patients should have more choice, and easier access to complementary healthcare. Many people see therapies such as acupuncture as an alternative to taking medicines, but the two can in fact be successfully combined so that the patient receives the most effective treatment possible.
All of my treatments are individually tailored to meet the patient’s needs, physical or emotional, and to help them to reach their full health potential.
Natalie Saunders BA (Hons) LicAc MBAcC Dip IHM
I studied acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa and after three years graduated with an honours degree in Traditional Acupuncture and Licenciate in Acupuncture. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council and as such abide by their codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct. I hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
I also hold a diploma in Indian Head Massage, a certificate in Cosmetic Acupuncture and am a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network.
I have always had an interest in healthcare, and before training as an acupuncturist, I worked as a pharmacy technician for over 10 years, giving me a working knowledge of conventional medicine, as well as complementary therapies.
In addition to running clinics in both Birmingham and Coventry, I also worked as a volunteer acupuncturist for a Birmingham based charity, Freshwinds, on their Integrated Medicine project, for over two years. During this time, I worked in their clinic for one morning a week, offering acupuncture to clients with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses, an extremely rewarding and educational experience.
More recently, I have taken on the role of Regional Group Co-ordinator, for the British Acupuncture Council, organising continuing professional education meetings and workshops for local members.
